*Long Shirt, "JoJo's Circus" type:
Much more bleedthrough from the blue to the yellow than I intended, so that the overall impression is more green than yellow-and-blue. Wearable, but not stellar. I'll give it to the girl it's intended for as part of her brithday gift, but I'm going to doubt that her mom will want her to wear it to the actual party.

*Pants, "JoJo's Circus" type:
Gods, that's awful. Not only did the red and orange not resolve well from each other, not only was there a ton of laddered whitespace instead of firm stripes, but apparently I didn't get the mordant out of the fabric well enough before they went into the mixed wash and I ended up with red-orange and lavender pants. Really hideous. Not sure what I'm going to do with these, but I'm not giving them as part of the gift.

*Infant Romper Dress:
Blue, purple, and green stripes, with just enough whitespace to lighten it up, lines are crisp and straight. Pretty. Will do well as the intended gift.

*Little Pagans T:
Green and bronze swirl, came out the way it always does. Should be able to ship order tomorrow.

*Sweatshirt:
Blue/purple/white asymmetric. Came out a little darker than I intended, but looks fine. Need to decide whther to add a transfer to it for the little boy it's for, and if so, what.

*Panne velvet pants:
Oh, these are gorgeous. They came out as mostly bronze, with a green/blue white ladder that reminds me of deep forest or maybe some sort of a tree-dwelling snake. And no one will mind if my son wears panne velvet pants to school, right?

*Experimental tee:
Added a bit of blue dye to one of the small-sized purple tees I've been fussing over. It looks pretty decent. I'll probably put a transfer on it --maybe one of those "Earth Cats" ones I've got lying around somewhere-- and let Rhys wear it.

I'm a lucky girl, with such talented people to love.

[profile] bard_bloom just got news today that Padwolf, the Publisher of our World Tree RPG, will be picking up Bard's novel Marriage of Insects, a lovely triad adventure-romance set in the World Tree universe. With bugs!

And over in Boston, [personal profile] lediva has been busy as one of the stars of the new radio drama Second Shift. The next episode, which will be up on the web this Sunday, focuses on her character Arkahn.

So proud of both of them!
beetiger: (roar)
Well, the new custom catsuit [personal profile] lediva ordered for me because I'm too fat to fit into my other one just came in, and it's way too small in the torso. Apparently I can't measure myself for crap, which is rather bad for someone who seems to be really strangely sized and likes to order stuff long-distance.

Would anyone who can manage to get into physical proximity of me at some point and knows what the hell they are doing on this kind of thing be willing to take a full set of measurements of me at some point moderately soon? Swaps of favors or merchandise and much appreciation on my part are available.
beetiger: (Little Pagans Logo)
Okay, I've finally gotten sick of stressing out anytime someone orders a toddler shirt in Lavender because they run small and I'm worried they haven't read the information on my site that tells them that. So I'm selling off all of my stock of those on eBay, well below even wholesale cost. Interested in outfitting your 18 month old in nothing but hand-embellished purple T-shirts for the spring season, need some really cool bases for party favors, or have two doze toddlers on your holiday Christmas list?

Do me a favor, come take a look.

Lot of American Apparel Lavender T-shirts.

*sigh*

After waiting nearly three weeks to not get into any PT facilities up here for Rhys, we've ended up in the same place/slots that we started with in his original meeting, about a 35 minute drive from here for a half-hour session, pretty much killing the afternoon two times a week.

I am in such a foul and unproductive mood this morning that it's appalling. Doesn't help that I put on the most absolutely gakkish horrible FeMaledictions perfume this morning and it's lingering around me like a plague of checp artificial musk.

I do not seem to be doing any of the things I needed to get done this morning either.

In general I love fall, so I'm not really sure what's up. Must find something to do with the little guy this afternoon. Probably should eat food.

Why have I totally forgotten to post anything on the days that seem to be working better?
beetiger: (Mother's Hearth logo)
Just got a big pile of herbs and incenses from the Pacific Northwest in, and now my house is all gorgeous cedary smelling.

Can't wait to start making winter incenses!

So, some weeks ago, I got email from the Wife Swap folks, because they were looking to humiliate feature furry families. I just got another email from them, this time because they are looking for families who run small occult businesses.

Making fun of people like me is just hot in America right now, I guess. :P
beetiger: (POWER!)
We've moved Rhys' party to the next weekend, which means that we probably won't be coming to much if any of FurFright. :( Apparently this cancelling parties thing was a directive from the corporate office -- they'll be hearing from me. But I wanted to get the proacicals out of the way. I already told them we're coming to the open house and Rhys expects a ballon and a hat, and they've agreed.

Anyone involved with the FurFright thing: do you know how much programming is on for Sunday?
beetiger: (Default)
...when five million people need to call you, and they never call back except all at once, and then they leave meassages and you can't reach them. I have not left the house yet today for the phone callingness of it all. And all this EI stuff and birthday party stuff is upsetting to start with.

I need a hug.

On the plus side, I got a really cool package out to my BPAL Halloween switch witch today, and I scored a bottle of Shub that someone was selling on the forums today at a reasonable price by the sheer luck of logging in 30 seconds after she posted. I'm waiting on a lot of swaps and stuff in the mail -- maybe I'll have some mail love to make me feel better.

Or maybe, perhaps, the MyGym people will call.

Frustrated

The new gym facility that Rhys was going to have his birthday party at apparently isn't opening on time. They'll be *ready* by his birthday, but they are going to do two weekends of open houses, meaning they want to push his birthday back. I already have invitations and responses out, and furthermore we're not available till mid-November unless I cancel out our family trip to Furfright. And somehow I've gotten Rhys so excited about this birthday plan that he's totally refusing every other option I can think of for the correct date.

Not sure what to do. I *want* to call them and yell at them that having a two-week open house rather than meeting a committment to my son is a crappy thing to do, and I will, but I don't expect to have any actual change based on that.

So. Furious.

I'm participating in an online pagan fair on Thursday and Friday, here:

I have to admit that I'm not exactly sure how this works, but I think you go into the chatroom and talk to vendors and then shop and they give you specials. Also there are a lot of raffles. I know I'm going to be offering free shipping, free personalization of shirts, bonus Refrigerator Magnets, and the lowest prices I've ever offered on my seconds stuff. I'm officially there as Little Pagans, but the Free Shipping and the magnet offers will be honored at Mother's Hearth too.

I won't actually be in there all the time, as I've got a very important meeting for a goodly chunk of Thursday afternoon, and I'll be trying to keep Rhys amused while I'm doing it, but I should be catchable there at least in the evenings.

So if you were thinking of getting something from me, or just wanted to get some early Yule shopping done with some fun little vendors, c'mon over.

9:00 am:
Discover that not only is the item I made for a swap strangely gone missing, the materials I'd need to make another one have also gone missing.

1:20 pm : Do not successfully meet with friend in park for playdate/trading money for shirt I made for her.

2:00 pm: Do not sucessfully connect with owner of new playspace being built, who told me to stop by between one and three; door is locked.

3:00 pm: Find "We missed you" signature sheet for package I've been waiting on all day in mailbox.

Wah.

Looks like [personal profile] lediva and I are going to get a kid-free weekend to go to Midwest FurFest in November (weekend of the 17th). Are any of you fine folks planning to be there? We'd love to get together, especially for things that aren't toddler-friendly, such as 2 am sushi runs, spending long periods of time putting on cat makeup, and other sorts of debauchery. (Also, things like cool twisty conversations, karaoke, and meals at normal times, with folks we don't get to see often enough.) I'm not selling stuff this convention, so we're pretty much free schedule-wise, unless there's a clamor for a World Tree session.

Let me know!
beetiger: (Wonder Pets!)
I'm thinking of taking [livejournal.com profile] projectmothra to the Dutchess County Fair next week. Anyone want to join us? Not sure what day yet, but I'd like to do a weekday to somewhat avoid the crowds.
beetiger: (cartoonbee)
Even if you aren't into perfume, you should check out the art and text at the new BPAL Carnival Diabolique. So much fun!
beetiger: (cartoonbee)
I've got one spot left in my CD decant circle.
Come and get it!

I'm offering two empty bottles with your order, and there are still some nice ones left.

Thanks!
beetiger: (cartoonbee)
I've never done a BPAL decant circle before, but I'd like to try this one. I'm going to keep it modest -- full imp sets of the Carnival Diabolique series, and I'm only going to do one bottle of each, so there are five sets available.

I'll place the order as soon as the five slots are filled, and I promise to turn the imps around in the mail to you within 48 hours of getting them, so hopefully there will be plenty of time for you to get them, try them, and order bottles of your favorites from the Lab before they become unavailable.

ETA: I got brave and ordered them already, so they are on the way!

Each set will be $55.00 including shipping for the set, and will include two empty bottles of your choice (first come, first serve). US and Canada only please.

I have feedback at http://community.livejournal.com/bpal_feedback/101410.html, as well as 100% feedback on eBay as jinglesnake.

All types of PayPal accepted. (I can also take credit cards directly through my business site if you want to go that route.) Please comment here to be included in the circle. PayPal can be sent to vickib AT bestweb DOT net.

Thanks for joining me on this one!

ETA2: Full! Hooray!

Slots:
1 [profile] prunesnprisms -bottles Pulcinella and Carnavale Diabolique
2 [personal profile] latzoni -bottles Midnight on the Midway and the Xanthe
3 [profile] thehennafairy - bottles -Genevivre and Mme Moriarty

*I seem to be having a lot of travel stress dreams lately. The lost-in-airports/having trouble packing/can't find the right train sort of thing. I'm sure the meaning would be more obvious if I were awake enough to think about it.

*BPAL fans are funny. They want perfumes named after the dread dark mysteries of the universe, but really they want to smell like freshly baked cookies and candy. Seriously. I'm testing a highly coveted limited edition scent called Shub-Niggurath, and it smells like something right out of the oven, all brown sugar and warm ginger.

*I'm very conflicted about physical stuff right now. I seem to be really enjoying my things in some ways, but I'm at the stage with my clutter that part of me wants to hold on to 3 outfits of clothing, a pair of shoes, my computer, a hairbrush, a library card, a pot, a pan, and a small box of jewelry and perfume, and toss out everything else I own.

*[livejournal.com profile] bard_bloom's Fimbulwinter Nights game is totally excellent. The plot's been fun, and the characterization has been excellent overall. And [livejournal.com profile] bard_bloom rides with our crazy schemes really well.

* I am missing [personal profile] lediva way more intensely than I usually do. At the same time, I really need to do a better job cultivating more local social contact, but I just don't know how.

*In general, I'm very very grumpy and unfocused lately.

That's all for now, I guess.

If you would be so kind...

Introduce me to someone on LiveJournal who isn't on my friends list, but whom you think I should get to know better, or whom you are surprised that I haven't already connected with.

Just letting me know a journal name would be fine. Letting me know *why* we'd be interested in getting to know each other, even better. And dropping over to their journal and letting them know I'm coming? Well, that would be the best.

On the flip side? If you added me a while ago and are finding me to be less interesting than you thought I might be, this would be a good time to go ahead and drop me off of your list, no offense, no questions asked. Thanks!
