I'm not a purist. If someone wants to make a sushi roll with brown rice, cream cheese, deli mustard, and rainbow sprinkles, more power to 'em.

That having been said, brown rice is tasty and would work well with heartier fillings.

Yeah, I think that's where I'm leaning. Traditional maki where the fish and vegetables are supposed to be the centerpiece? Hmm, not real sure that's a good idea. Weird fusion maki that are specifically made to stand up to a whole grain's earthiness? Sure, why not. I'm thinking exotic mushroom fillings (no, not THAT exotic :D ) or maybe grilled meats?
