I must be tired...
Nov. 21st, 2003 02:16 pmThe first line of one of the rare spams to make it through my filters today:
I've got a tiny little sceert it's blue and
it helps me to perform like a God in bed.
Now, obviously that sixth word is just a typo for "secret" and this is a run-of-the-mill ad for a Viagra clone. But I ended up reading it phonetically as "skirt", and my head filled with an image of a bearded Pan type wearing nothing but a blue latex miniskirt and winking lasciviously at me.
More my whimsy than my libido coming back, but still, I am amused with my brain.

Date: 2003-11-21 11:37 pm (UTC)This reminds me of the time I mis-saw a truck sign. There was a time when I was working graveyard that I regularly stayed up all day Friday, and then slept extra on Sunday. My husband and I regularly went up to Boston on weekends, via I84 through Connecticut. On the back of a semi that we were near was an advertisement for breakfast cereal. I don't remember what, but it proudly announced, in the upper curve of a circle, "THE NEW MORNING BREAKFAST CEREAL!" I managed to read it as "The Morning After Breakfast Cereal." We spent the next half hour speculating how it should be marketed...
