First draft on the beegirl costume. It still needs a little something more black on the upper body, I think -- perhaps a low-slung leather collar or a black velvet scarf. But I'm overall pleased with it.

This is definitely an outfit that requires an assistant. I of course need to be laced into the corset. Although I actually have the eyes mounted on a pair of glasses behind the mask, the holes in the eyes are tiny and only allow limited tunnel vision, plus they tend to fog up after a bit. Also, the boots have 4" heels, which means I may want a bit of help navigating stairs and the like. (If anyone wants to volunteer to accompany me for a while one night at Midwest FurFest, you will be richly rewarded.)

I'm aiming for disturbing, yet sexy. What do you think?

Coolies! lol. Just what I need another project...:) But I'm inspired now...

I do have some back velveteen scraps; I think that would look good for a stinger. Does your corset lace up the back? I've made a couple of tails that lace right into the last set of lower eyelets on the corset. It works pretty good--you just need to figure our how much of a gap you have bewteen the eyelets and if you need to add any length to a plaquet so the tail sits at an appropriate spot.

It does lace up the back. I usually have about a one-inch gap maximum. It comes just to about the waist. I can send you a back-picture privately if you'd like.

One more thing..... I have a black leather collar which is studded with a sort of honeycomb pattern in silver. It might fit in with your ensemble. I don't wear it anymore (as it's gotten too tight in the last eight years since I bought at San Francisco's Folsom Street Fair). Will bring it along to MFF too.
