From all over my friends page, passing it on before it gets too stale...

"I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal."

When I was ten, a friend of mine exposed me to the Sisters of Mercy. My first comment was "They call themselves the Sisters, but that's a guy." If I knew then what I knew now....

I'm not ashamed to admit I liked Bananarama in the late 80s.

They were NOTHING without Siobahn!! Dammit!

Ahem.

I was born and raised in New Orleans. I read lots more SF and fantasy than is perhaps good for me.

Other than that? I don't quite know who I am right now.

Well It should be fairly obvious I am the world biggest fan of Kurdt Kobain and Nirvana! I am also a diehard NY Yankees fan win or lose and the Oakland Raiders are my favorite football team. I played bass guitar in a punk band in the 80's. I briefly did fill-in spot's on WFMU-Fm (long time ago) as well as hosted a show on radio at Jersey City State College!

Plus I am an insufferable carnivore!

I am a fabulous idea factory for game and story ideas, but rarely have the self-discipline to go through writing them down myself, unless I have someone else motivated to help. Then I feel responsible to that person and do stuff.

-- I may (or may not) want to be a Unitarian Universalist minister.

-- I've got my first anniversary with Calluna (for some definition of anniversary) in three days, yikes.

-- I hate lima beans. It's the texture, not the taste.

-- Until last year, I'd never been west of Iowa.

I wanted to be an author as a child...just an author, I still don't know what of. And I wanted to be a witch named Diana. (Yeah, go ahead an laugh)

Happy Birthday!

I try to put off any recurring task as long as humanely possible (eg, I bathe every day out of consideration for my co-workers, but I haven't cut my hair in eight years).

I learned, and continue to learn tolerance every day. :)

I'm tall, squat, and hairy, hate long walks on the beach because sand gets in my shoes, and believe the world would be a subtly more beautiful place if Tricky Dick had stuck around.

When I would go visit my grandparents in Rouyn Noranda over the summer, I loved to play on the back porch, facing the lake, until a bee nest cropped up one day. I got stung three times and ran inside, and then spent the rest of the summer playing closer to the lake.

I like fresh garden picked cucumbers. With salt. Mmm.

I just like the picture.

When I was growing up, I started out living on the East coast of the USA, moved to the West coast when I was five, then back east again when I was eleven or so. And I'm currently living right in the middle of the country.

Try herbs! It's really hard to screw up herbs, and they're every bit as good fresh as any other garden product.

Despite the fact that I dislike almost all fully-cooked fish, my absolute favorite food is thick chunks of seared tuna (barely cooked on the outside), either as a steak or as large hunks of sushi.
