Vanity Script

I just got told that a friend mentioned my l33t food-science skillz in a community journal with which she's involved, and I was tickled and pleased to go look at the entry.

I would love to have some sort of a script that would scan for this sort of thing, that could scan your friends and friends-of-friends pages and look for references to your LJ username.

But alas, my programming abilities are minimal. Is anyone inspired enough to write this thing, for the greater efficiency of the vanity of the LiveJournal community? I'll give you something good in exchange...

That would be an awesome script to have, wonder if anyone is able to make anything like that

That's a great idea! I'll see if I can find anyone to do it...

You want to talk to Usenet weenies. Kibo did this on Usenet. Tim Skirvin appears to be thinking about this for LJ.
