Red

My June-flavored joy at the availability of ripe sweet cherries, crimson-juicy, the kind you need to eat as soon as you buy them, is rather mitigated by the fact that at this stage in my pregnancy, my gums bleed everytime I bite into anything even vaguely firm, leaving my mouth tasting of iron and sacrifice.

I don't know a whole heck of a lot about the stages that women go through when they are pregnant. Why are you gums doing that?

It's kind of a side-effect of hormonal stuff, from what I understand. Many women in mid pregnancy get loose teeth and bleeding gums. Since I already have weak gums, mine at this point are starting to bleed anytime I bite anything, and not stop for a while. It's seriously annoying.

Mmm. Blood.

Maybe not so good with cherries, though.
