(half serious)HFCS is everything that's wrong with America!(/half-serious) It's a health risk, it stems from huge government subsidies to irresponsible megacorps, and it tastes like ass. Not that white sugar is a tonic, but it's amazing how much better soft drinks made with real sugar taste.

I agree with you! You should meet my friend Randi Steele. She has been preaching about the evils of High Fructose Corn Syrup for years.

I know I am trying to cut back my intake severely.

Buy your soda right now, then. Look for the Kosher for Passover labeling. This is the only time of year you can get sugar-sweetened soda in parts of the country that aren't Louisiana or Hawaii, cause HFCS isn't allowed for the holiday.
