Discovered while randomly flipping through a trade 'zine for the consumer goods industry:

a tampon which gently vibrates to relieve menstrual pain.

I think I'd find that either fascinating or disturbing, if I were actually a consumer of menstral products....

On a completely unrelated note, I've always been fond of Thomas Dolby... I like "She Blinded Me (With Science)" and "One of Our Submarines" best. I've often wondered if Dolby, the singer / entertainer is related to the Dolby sound company.

Okay, color me weirded out.

I am presently experiencing menstrual pain. My pain is nowhere near where this thing would be "delivering" its "gentle vibrations." The only way I could imagine having any relief from the pain from a source of vibrations there involves an investment in something entertaining from Good Vibrations or Babes in Toyland, a partner, and a few hours.

It might help someone who has vaginismus-induced pain on insertion of the tampon. Possibly. Maybe.

I didn't look far enough to see how much more per month this vibrator-inna-tampon would cost.

Can I just say how much I love my menstrual cup?
