As requested by several of you, I've added some simple pendants at the Frozen Honeybee site, i.e. "just the bees". These can be strung on a simple cord or chain, or used as the centerpiece of your own jewelry creations.

Check it out at the Etsy page, under Pendants/Focal Beads. And please send over anyone you think might be interested.

These are fantastic! (Am I right in assuming that the bee in the brooch that we got is from your hive? I never asked.)

Yes, all the bees are from my hive.

Oh! You! You're the person to ask, if there was any person to ask, which I am sure there must be.

I've been making pendants for my necklaces that I've been making because I've been hooked on making beads of types, and I was wondering when do you decide a pendant is too big? My last one was about 3" x 2.5", and I kept feeling it was too big, but when I started out, it didn't nearly to seem to be as big as it ended up being...

Is that too big? I know a lot of people make really small ones. What size is about average? Are these okay kinds of questions to be asking?

Whatever looks good to you is fine, I think! The large ovals I have are 3 cm X 4 cm, which is about as big as I think of as a "pendant". Bigger than that is wearable but I'd consider maybe more of a medallion. Then again, something more complex or more open in style (ie wirework) can get away with being bigger.
