Distinctive
Nov. 18th, 2002 10:33 amI’ve got kind of a distinctive walk, kind of a fast but heavy tappity-clunk, stronger on the left, that’s especially noticeable on tile lab floors with the kinds of thick heels I tend to wear to the office.
I’ve also got this sort of attention-deficit kind of habit that consists of stopping partway between here and there and turning abruptly to go back to soewhere I was before because I’ve forgotten something, or back out into the hall when I’m half way to my office because I remember something else I was thinking of doing. The fact that I keep forgetting which office is attached to what in this circular maze of a building doesn’t help this at all. I keep finding myself passing by the same places more than once in a short stretch of time.
So from one of the hallway offices near mine, I’m sure the pattern of click-tap one direction- five second stop- click-tap back the way I came is pretty dramatic.
Remind me never to try to be a spy.
