Screaming! Yellow! Zonkers!

A late night conversation with lediva has brought out some serious nostalia/cravings around Screaming Yellow Zonkers, the yellow popcorn in the black box for people who think nuts suck. It had a black box and alien mascots and was very yellow.

Sadly, the brand's not currently being produced, but ConAgra recently bought the Lincoln Snacks company, and maybe they'll bring it back. I'm tempted to start a petition or something.

Yeah, Zonkers are big nostalgia for me too! They had 'em at our local YMCA when I took summer gym sports, circa '80. And wow, if they discontinued 'em either it was fairly recently or... that was a really scary convenience store. c.c I remember Jessie and me giggling at a box of 'em in a truck stop somewhere on I-90!
