Quick Product Design Poll

I'm thinking of adding a product to my "Roll Your Own Incense" kit line in time for the fall vending season/holiday shopping season. This would be similar to my Deluxe Kit, except instead of having 5 basic (single herb) scents, it would have five complex blends designed with magical purposes. The idea is that the formulation would already be keyed to the right purpose, but the magician/witch/whatever could add their specific intent to the incense as they rolled it. The blends would be herbal/all-natural, just like my other kits, so they'd be kind of different than most of the commercial magical incense out there.

So now I'm trying to decide which five purposes should be included in the kits. Would you do me the kindness of sharing your opinion?

Er...uhm...yeah. Heh. When MAGIC is concerned I prefer to just do my own thang from scratch, but I would definitely considering gifting such a kit to a friend. (I was torn between "no" and "yes" and ultimately went with "no" since I, myself, most likely wouldn't.)

Also, also, also! The "other" vote goes towards a sort've "offering" concept. As in, roll your own gift of incense for the deities you work with. (I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS PROBABLY MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER AND IS PROBABLY IMPOSSIBLE, BUT THE "DO YOU THINK" PART GOT ME THINKING AND I THOUGHT IN ADDITION TO MY OTHER 4 CHOICES (I WENT WITH ONES THAT I FIND MYSELF USING ON A SEMI-REGULAR BASIS) I WOULD ALSO PERSONALLY PRODUCE SOMETHING THAT I COULD BURN AS A SPECIAL OFFERING FOR MY ENTITY PEEPS AS A "THANK YOU" AND "CHEERS!" GIFT-Y.)

*smiles* Yeah, I can see a "Gratitude" blend making some sense, but the components would certainly vary a lot by choice of deity/power/whatever.

You perfectly sum up what I was trying to say/wanting to say one non-caps lock sentence! *G* Thank you for translating the BEEP-BOOP-BEEP going on in my head. (But if you DO ever consider making any sort of "Gratitude" blend I have only one word for you - CHOCOLATE (food of zee gods, y'know? *winks*)!)

Let me clarify my no. I don't typically use specific incense itself for rituals. Most of the time, any incense will appease my spirits. It's more important to use the element that matches what I am trying to do then it is to buy something specific for the purpose.

That doesn't mean I don't occasionally buy things I know other people have enchanted that I trust... it just means that I don't specifically go out and buy based on what it's suppose to be for... rather I go by smell.

Anyway, I said 'other' and was thinking about Healing. I have a friend who's in the hospital with complications of bypass surgery at the moment, so healing is really on my mind at the moment...

Well, I've found that five packets is about the size kit that people want to buy, and for this one I wanted a fixed set rather than the random selection people get in the other kits, so people know what to expect. If it's popular, I'll probably do a second set too.
