I feel like one of those people in a workplace setting that can't do 70% of their standard job competently at all, but you keep them around because the 30% they can do, you really couldn't find anyone else to do. This happens a lot in technical settings. It really shouldn't happen with a stay at home mom.

I sympathize. When I was getting Claire dressed this morning, she grabbed the roll of socks and threw it behind the crib. When I succeeded in fishing it out (quite a task, involving moving a bunch of junk) it had to go in the wash because it was so very dusty.

I can tweak my plans today and Friday to pass closer to you and use a Metro-North station near you, if that would cheer you up.

No matter how house-keeping challenged you may feel, it is very unlikely that you are anywhere near how my house-keeping was before I started working with my personal organizer/coach, so you know that I won't judge in any way...

You can email me at tikvah AT livejournal dott comm.

Heh. Have you ever seen the TV show News Radio by some obscure chance?

If you're getting the parenting right but the house is a mess, which is what I'm reading from the entry title, I'd say that's simply having limited resources and correct priorities.
