[profile] shardangeli is a warm hearted and generous person. Soon after I met her online, she was using her fine fashion sense to dress my MUCK character in dapper butch style, just because she wanted to. She's been like a kid sister to me over the years, someone I'm always happy to support and give advice. She's grown a lot since I met her, and that's a pleasure to see. She also sewed and embroidered a stuffed animal for Rhys totally by hand, even though she hasn't gotten a chance to meet him in person yet! Sometimes I don't hear from her for a while, but I know she'd be around if I ever needed her for anything.

*hugs the Shard all up*

Rhys got a gift in the mail today -- a copy of Peter Spier's Gobble Growl Grunt. He's fliiping through it now, and we are going to have fun making all of the animal sounds together. But there was no gift enclosure with the book, and the bookseller on the return address appears to have no net presence or phone number at directory assistance.

Did one of you send it? If so, thank you! If not, I guess the mystery continues...

[livejournal.com profile] sythyry is probably one of my LiveJournal friends I'm least likely to meet, since zie lives in an entirely different universe. Nevertheless, zie's a witty and engaging writer and an enthusiastic liver-of-life, and I can definitely relate to a lot that's going on with zir. Also, zie's an immortal, which I'm pretty sure is not true of any of my other friends. I miss my university days, and [livejournal.com profile] sythyry helps remind me of them, in a fond sort of way.

([livejournal.com profile] bard_bloom, thank you so much for continuing this piece of serial fiction over the last few years. It's helped to keep the spirit of the World Tree alive in the world, even while I'm mostly busy with other projects.)
