It's beginning to smell a lot like Christmas....

I just finished packing off my contribution for the Holiday Sampler -- 105 candy cane ornaments made out of peppermint, amber, and sandalwood incense! (The red color in the stripes comes from hibiscus powder.) And I even made flaming elf clip art for the package! I'm trying to be good about documenting these things before they go out, so here:

It smells like sweet amber resin and peppermint, and a little woody. Nice and sweet, but natural.

Those are very cool! I confess to a certain amount of amusement at the idea of the Christmas merchandise made by the Jewish Pagan, though. :-)

Stick the straight end in a bowl of sand or salt and light the curved end.

Part of me was thinking you hung it over the chimney, and lit it from the bottom up.. but I suppose that was just silly. Thank you for the method, though. ;'D

If the bits are big enough to stick one end in sand and light it, do that. If they are really teeny bits, burn them on some charcoal.

I hope the sampler ones make it in better shape -- they took FOREVER to make!
