I have no excuse indulging in a "tell me stuff" meme when my real content has been so low lately, but I kind of need it right now to feel reconnected to the universe.

If you don't mind, please post a happy or funny memory you have of me. I need to remember a little more about my context with people, and to feel a little better about the path of my life to date.

Thank you.

I remember playing in my first World Tree game at MFF. You were the GM and we were doing the scenario where Countess Rhony disappears. I was pretty new to tabletop gaming at the time, but you were a wonderful GM and were very patient. :)

I have a number of really good memories of you. Walking through JP and not finding the world's fair; hearing your stories about campus life and meeting Bard on a rainy morning after TransBound '02 (was that really three years ago? Yikes.), and walking through the Pepsi sculpture garden with you and Bard are only some of the highlights.
I've very much enjoyed your company every time we've met. I regret that so much time has gone past since Kin and I have come down to visit you guys. We planned several times over the summer to visit Chez Gargoyle, maybe on the way to or from New York City, but my job, Kin's job, or something else always got in the way. Maybe we can do something about that in November.

*grins* I just remember us sharing polyamory and TG stuff fairly energetically on the local kids' playground, without worrying about anyone nearby who might be listening, babbling unashamedly once we'd figured out that neither of us had much of a tmi threshold to speak of.

(I subsequently overheard some women nearby discussing something about a Bible study their church was having, and giggled internally at what they must have been thinking about our conversation.)

There was also driving around while Rhys was in the car, talkingtalkingtalking while he napped and not wanting to stop the car out of (I think) a sense that he would wake up and we wouldn't be able to continue, at least, not with the same uninterrupted flow of so many words, so much to share.

I remember the bittersweet feeling after dropping you guys off at the airport, & telling Dave, "I miss them already," and him saying, "That's good; that means it meant something."

And mmm....the yogurt fish was really good.

I have lots and lots of happy and funny memories of you, but one I was just telling [livejournal.com profile] cathijosephine about the other day was when I shared with you the love letters I'd written to a girl who'd broken up with me in high school. You started reading and said "Oh, Jay, this is so sad!" with a twinkle in your eye. A few paragraphs later, you said "Oh, this is so sad! This is tragic!" and burst out into laughter.

(Speaking of my romantic troubles, I remember that you were the only one of my friends who actually told me that Christy Smith was bad news. Everybody else thought it, but you were the only person who actually said so. See? That sort of thing is why you rule.)

I will carry with me until I cease to think the happy memory of you coming to our wedding a week and a half ago, the kind words you had for us after, and the fact that you drove through that horrendous rain (coming and going) just to see us! I'm so glad you could come!

I have to cite the World Tree Demo at AC 2001, where we met for the first time. And may I add that the pleasure of seeing you and LeD together and her happy made me happy too.

Oh...and guess what was waiting on me when I came home today. Some Harvest Spice Jam!! So there's no need to reship. I really do appreciate your offer to do so, though. And I'll still do something doubly nice to pass the kindness along. :)

Thank you so much.

That little cafe in Hamburg -- the one with the wolf's head on the wall with the sensors that kept its lips in synch with the Deutsche Zeitung reports. You were wearing a propeller hat; I was wearing a ukelele. We ordered chai tea, scones, and Hundwurst mit Fliegendeeien. You sang songs from Pippin to the whole cafe, and were applauded and had minced garlic tossed over you. I played the ukelele using the piano.

Errr... okay. That didn't happen. We need to meet, to build memories together!

The ultra cute pregnant-vix costume, and the hug you gave me when we posed for pictures. I still smile when I bring that pic up.

This one's quite recent, and easy: You sent my injured nephew an Anubis shirt -- we got the package, and it's been sent on its way. That was a Random Act of Kindness +5.

Just one? Ummmm . . . ahhhhhh . . . I just see a swirl of hot nekkid pregnant womyn who's letting me take pictures of her, beautiful mom walking through the zoo with me, hyper-intelligent womyn tripping my tongue. I'll try to isolate a few of these and send you an email next week, with my free weekends and such . . . can't wait to have my life back . . . only two more days of super-crazy!
