And the world comes around again...
Farmshare started up again for the season. This week, we got mesclun, spinach, tatsoi, arugula, dill, radishes, baby turnips, and apples.
A year ago, I wheeled a tiny little guy up to the pickup site in his stroller, chattered to him about food while he smiled and cooed, and then went home and pureed a zucchini and spoon-fed it to him.
This year, when I wheeled him up, he started yelling "Bee-bulls, bee-bulls!" (aka 'vegetables'), said "hi" to everyone there, and demanded that I give him an apple, whole, to take big bites out of while I collected the rest of our share and filled out paperwork.
What a difference a year makes!
