Crappo. I finally got around to (re)reserving our room for Anthrocon, and apparently only extremely expensive rooms (>$227/night with taxes, not even counting the parking!), which are not eligible for con discount, were left. (Yes, I took one.) So much for buying anything while I'm at the con.

Argh.

(ps if anyone associated with the con is reading this and thinks the reservation people were on crack, and can help, let me know.)

Yeah. This is a cancellable reservation, so if the overflow hotel is close enough that it seems baby-plausible, we'll move.

We're not even going to bother with the AC hotel. We're staying at a comprable facility over in Laurel Hills. It's five miles from the con and it's only going to cost us $63 a night plus tax.

I've heard of this problem before. You might want to contact the con staff if you couldn't get it resolved because last I saw, the reservation staff wasn't supposed to do that.

I'd love to, but unfortunately I have many witchy commitments for that weekend. If they ever push the con back to the earlier weekend again, I'd totally do it.
