[livejournal.com profile] lediva is very fond of public praise :)

[personal profile] lediva walked right up to me one day a few years ago, strolled into my cluttered heart as if she had every right to be there, knocked on a tiny cat door I didn't even know was there, and curled up in the kitty-shaped space that opened up.

She's absolutely brilliant, well-spoken, passionate, and funny. She has the kind of personal energy you can feel halfway down the block when she's feeling good about herself, or when she's pissed enough to want to make a difference out in the world. She sings harmony to old Simon and Garfunkel songs with me in the car. She keeps me vibrant and young and alive. She's a loving and devoted friend, lover, and confidante. She attended my son's birth with me, and held his little hands out of the way when we were learning to nurse. Sometimes, when neither of us are quite expecting it, she works magic.

She's allowed me a very special opportunity (and challenge) in my life -- that of moving from the style of polyamory that was more open marriage/friends with benefits style to the style of having a fully integrated second partner in my life. It's been a wonderful and valuable experience. Not at all what I expected when I took the first steps on this journey with her, but just what came out of her being so perfectly, wonderfully *her*.

Life and time will keep changing us both, and who knows where we'll be in the faraway future of Someday, but I do know one thing: one way or another, I'm keeping that girl in my world. Love you, [livejournal.com profile] lediva.

You (both) are so lucky to have such an extraordinary woman in your life. :)

What a beautiful tribute to [livejournal.com profile] lediva--It actually brought tears to my eyes. At first I read it and decided [livejournal.com profile] lediva was a cat. Then I reread it and I wasn't as sure. Oh well, either way, it's beautiful. I'm especially partial to cats (http://pics.livejournal.com/cathawk/gallery/0000157r), but I like people too, so either way it's touching. Thanks for bringing a ray of sunshine into my day!

P.S. I don't know if [livejournal.com profile] kittyjammies told you or not, but we're swapping friends lists for the day, so that's how I came to be meandering by..

You are both lucky have have found each other. Having recently gone from being part of an open partnership to a triad, I know well how wonderful it can be. Blessing to you both.

[livejournal.com profile] lediva can currently be counted among some of my oldest friends, mostly because I shed a part of my life that was destructive, and she was one of the first people in that new world I started to inhabit.

She is, in fact very special to me too, and I'm glad you two are so happy :)

you don't know me but

I'm an LJ friend of lediva and me and my primary are planning our wedding. we are not out as poly to his family (we were once and they harrassed us about it until we finally said we'd stop being poly, which of course we didn't). lediva said you may have ideas on how to incorperate poly into the ceremony without upsetting relatives?
