Another day in America
Nov. 3rd, 2004 02:58 pmI really wanted to go out this morning and set something on fire, do something dramatic and angry. All I've managed is to pull a bunch of those ribbon magnets off people's cars on the way back from lunch at the mall.
Part of me wants my son's life quiet and stable and roughly middle-class. But part of me wants to call down the revolution.
The top reasons cited by Bush supporters nationwide for their continued support of the President were "terrorism" and "moral values". Given that the kind of "moral values" I think we're discussing don't cover queer poly witch chicks like me, I think perhaps the terrorists are winning, whatever fundamentalist religious base they come from.

Date: 2004-11-30 01:06 pm (UTC)I'm also queer, poly, pagan and a stay-at-home mom. I have two children, a boy (5) and a girl (2).
I'd love to chat or email or just catch up in here. It's always good to talk to people in a similar situation (home with kids) with similar (read: open-minded, heh) points of view.
As far as the election goes, I too have been feeling marginalized. Check out my LJ entries from early November if you want to hear more. If not, well, just know that as a queer and poly pagan mom, who laments the direction in which this country is going, you're certainly not alone. :-D
