Another quiet night
The baby's asleep, Bard's out, and I'm doing manymany web updates for my projects. Quiet here.
I never really used to like quiet time much, before Rhys came in. It seemed very isolating and lonely. But these days, it's kind of a little niche in which everything's well in my world, and I like it.
I'll be able to show you all the new thing once the servers get pointed the right way, tomorrow I hope.
I guess that's all. I'm not writing a lot these days, it seems. I don't know if it's a fading interest in this little shared piece of the world, or just that everything seems commercial, or tedious, or private.

Yes everything is commerical, every blockbuster has a tie-in that sells product and nothing seems to be made for the sake of art. All things such as Punk, Goth and Hippie have lost their meaning. Still it is a beautiful world with all its tedium. Well I think it is anyway (that being a beautiful world)

Growing up in a big family, one of the nicest treats I looked forward to was when everyone else was out somewhere and I had the house to myself. It happened every month or so when I was a teenager. I'd play the music loud, or play something classical that no one else wanted to listen to, read something my dad would look down his nose at, even dance around the living room if I wanted to, with Tchaikovosky's waltzes blaring. I loved being alone.
I don't really miss it, though. Me-time no longer requires alone-in-the-houseness. I suppose it's because Elizabeth loves to dance to blaring Russian waltzes. :)
