Blissful quiet

Rhys has started sleeping more at night, staying in his crib from his 8:30 bedtime till at least 2 am the last bunch of nights. And I finally convinced Bard to go out on a weeknight and meet some gamers who do stuff locally. So I've got a quiet house all to myself. I'm blowing off all my chores and just enjoying the alone time, which I don't feel like I've really gotten much of at allthese last few months. Hanging out with the baby often has a lot of the downside of alone feeling, and none of the upside.

It's quiet here. I'm not quite brave enough to be sure he'll sleep through me drawing a bath yet, so I can't be totally self-indulgent. But I can sit and listen to the hum of my laptop and my own purring, and be at peace for a bit.

Purr.

I think Elizabeth actually sleeps better when the bath is running. But I haven't tested it that often.

Enjoy the alone time. It's very, very precious.

*purrs along with you, but not so loudly as to disturb the quiet* :)

I think you should get more time like that, rrai!

Purrs

Now that you mention it, I think the sound of you purring is the first experience of you I ever had - or was it a meow? I forget which now. Somehow you were the most interesting sounding feline of many though, so I was lucky enough to meet you. :X)
