Leave your baby's wardrobe to the Fates!

Just added a Grab Bag Special to the Little Pagans page, to send my weird shirt experiments and small mistakes off to good homes.

Rhys has been sleeping very poorly lately, waking up fairly early in the evening and not letting us put him back down in his crib. We're getting to the point where we're considering letting him cry it out, but I'm not really ready. He pulls up to standing on the side of the crib and *screams* in the first two minutes. It doesn't help that I have trouble putting him down gracefully at the low crib setting. My arms are just short.

Planning my first overnight adventure with the baby, but not with [livejournal.com profile] bard_bloom. I'm going to go do some modeling for a friend in MA. I'm looking forward to it -- I expect it to help me be more at peace with my body the way it is now. And I need to do something random and vaguely exciting like a micro-road trip. My batteries are very drained.

Tired.

The crying it out thing never worked for us - Elizabeth would throw up if we left her to cry for very long. We still rock her to sleep, though now it's in our bed most of the time. I can't remember the last time she went to sleep in her own crib.

Have you considered a toddler bed? If you could lie down next to him while he's going to sleep, it might help. Then again, that means he could get out of bed at midnight without you knowing - not always a good option. (It's the reason we haven't tried it yet, though I have friends whose babies co-slept for 14 months and then went straight to a toddler bed.)

I hope so! And a few extra bucks to boot!
