We're off to Genericon this weekend, all three of us. Rhys will get to meet cool people like [livejournal.com profile] aprivatefox and watch anime. We will take pictures.

I want some fuzzy dice for his stroller. Perhaps one of the rest stops will have some.

I am *so* glad I don't have to worry about bringing formula with me.

Very cool! I've been to many a con, and I've yet to meet a child raised in those surroundings who wasn't a bright, articulate, curious child. And usually polite and well mannered as well. (Not that I doubt Rhys would be all those things anyway, with you two as parents...)

Fuzzy dice?

Convention Kids

My eldest was born in mid-July. Her first convention was Philcon, mid-November. I never did think to get fuzzy dice for the stroller.

(Of course, her first *event* was Pennsic -- at 3 weeks. That was a far easier adventure than any of us expected. But we'd also already been travelling with her to take her to see the great-grandfather, who was doing poorly that year.)

My second took a while longer. While he was at Lunacon about 2 weeks before emergence, he missed Balticon by virtue of the eldest having strep throat that weekend, and so I didn't go. Which means, if I recall correctly, that he didn't get ot a convention till Philcon, which means he was walking or damn/near already.

(Disclave, at that time, was a mommy-vacation convention. I honestly don't remember what the husband and kids did that weekend.)

I saw a truck last summer that had fuzzy dice with paw prints instead of spots. Unfortunately, the owner of the truck wasn't around, and I have no idea where zie got them. If you can find them though, they'd be great for the stroller!
