Annoyances
Sep. 18th, 2003 11:25 amOn the bill I got today, there were $900 worth of charges to retail locations in Providence, RI, in stunningly even numbers ($400.00 + $500.00, exactly), on my credit card, from the day I got home from BiCamp.
The card company's sending me an affadavit and expects to get it cleared from my account within a week, so it really just was a matter of a phone call, since it's not a debit card and so no actual money was taken from me. But I really hope no one at BiCamp rifled through my things and tried to scam me, despite the timing and usage location. I hope this was just a coincidence, or maybe the guy at the gas station or something. I don't like thinking that people in that community would be stealing from each other.

The stunningly even numbers thing seems peculiar.
Good luck getting this sorted out! *Hugs*

Date: 2003-09-20 07:16 pm (UTC)Charge stuff, from stores, without a physical card. I guess they sweet-talked the store clerks or something.
I rather hope it wasn't a BiCamp person, it seems . . . not in line with all the vibes I've felt there.
