Personal Mercury Retrograde
People don't usually socialize with me much at work. Between my consultant status, various power issues in the group, the fact that I don't live locally, the fact that when I eat at my desk it's really obvious based on my office location, and what I'll admit is a naturally abrasive style, I'm just not that interactive here.
Nevertheless, this morning when someone did stop into my office just to say hello, apparently I must have responded in a way that was so expectant of her needing to get something from me and leave promptly that I disturbed her.
And just now, someone else stopped into my office to apologize for whatever she'd done to upset me. Apparently, I'd given her a major snub look in the hallway. I don't even recall seeing her there.
For those of you going to Anthrocon, if you see me this weekend and it looks like I don't want to talk to you, it's almost certainly not true. I seem to be giving off a bizarre antisocial vibe. That and the fact that I'll be wearing unaccustomed contact lenses, and will be likely more tired than usual, even for a con, may mean I look unfriendly or uninterested. But I'm actually very into seeing all of you this weekend.
