They're private contractors, the same ones who also help out with my lawn. They plow my driveway. It takes them about 10 minutes to do what would take me 4 hours by shovel. This is suburban New York. You can pay people to do pretty much anything for you. And in this case, it's very, very much worth the non-trivial cost.
