1)Driving 5 hours in the snow to do 2 hours of work when you are a contract employee is a stupid idea.

2)Having comfort food two meals in a row, made for you with love by the same person who then goes and shovels the driveway for you and then gives you a backrub and cuddles, is, in fact, extremely comforting.

Have I mentioned lately how lucky I am?

i forced mike to stay home today. mostly because he just found out he's not only NOT getting a raise next year, but taking a salary CUT for working 50+ hours a week.

also working tonight til just a few minutes ago, AND saturday morning, AND sunday morning.

so he's had a mild cold the entire week. people at work have been taking sick days right and left. he goes in all week. he gets told on tuesday that he has to work all weekend. then gets told on wednesday that all of IT is taking a salary cut next year.

timing is everything. *roll*
