Dry and press flowers in a stack of phonebooks.

[identity profile] bikergeek.livejournal.com 2008-01-28 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
that would be why people don't send me flowers.

You'd think I'd be better about this, considering that I used to, oh, work at a flower shop way back when. :-/

Vase rhymes with face where I come from. :)

What is weird is I will pronounce it all the different ways... sometimes in the same paragraph... If you believe that you can pattern speech in paragraphs.

In eithrcase, I don't actually own a vase. So it's either the Spaghetti Holder or the Sauce Jar for the flowers!

... I really would like to recieve flowers someday.

Vahrs!

[identity profile] varjohaltia.livejournal.com 2008-01-28 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Bah. Use a handy-dandy 3D scanner to preserve them! (Or go old school and take a hologram. It's a fun project for the whole family!)

If insisting, I'd put them in something closest to /vayss/.

[identity profile] kyeli-unlikely.livejournal.com 2008-01-28 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
This amuses me greatly. (:

None of those looks like how "vase" sounds.

[identity profile] mister-wolf.livejournal.com 2008-01-28 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, yes, that's what I'm trying to say.

[identity profile] marrionettegirl.livejournal.com 2008-01-28 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
me, i keep them out a few days, then i either dry them in a box with those drying salts, or i press them and use them for fun things!

people know better than to give me cut plants, i'll use them in somthing. )

Both (e) and (f): put them in a rinsed out spaghetti sauce jar, then forget about them and leave them on the kitchen table until they wilt.

Today many florists include the flower-holding-thingy-jar with the bouquet.

Actually, depending on where you live, the word could be prounounced a number of slightly different ways. All are correct.

Call it a 'urn'.

Probably of interest only to lapines and other herbivores

If somebody offered me a meal like that, it would be rude to let it go to waste. I'd probably offer to share them with whomever, and save the rest for snacking....

Vase?

Speaking of 'vase's...

But what would you save the leftovers *in*?

[identity profile] gavinfox.livejournal.com 2008-01-29 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if you only have something cheap to put them in, you put them in a Vayss. If you have something expensive and appropriate to put them in, you put them in a vahz.

Doesn't everyone know that?

[identity profile] mementomei.livejournal.com 2008-01-29 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
You forgot, "OMG, you know I'm allergic! How could you?"

[identity profile] sythyry.livejournal.com 2008-01-29 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
That's exactly what I say, OOC!

Hee! :D

I think "vayss" is the spelling that rhymes with "face". =)

You forgot "All of the above."

depending on who gave them to me and how frazzled I am at the time.
