So what if my grandmother never really taught me how to cook? I just made mini-knishes with Rhys -- from a cookbook recipe-- and they came out completely awesome.

Gil Marks, The World of Jewish Cooking. Very nice book, has recipes from all over the Diaspora, and I haven't had a recipe fail from it yet.
