(no subject)

I meant to write all about our weekend at Harvest Home Gathering here, but I never really got to it. There was ritual, and selling stuff, and topless fire-dancing, and body image issues, and I wish I had the motivation to write about it, but I don't, so I'm letting it go.

I've been doing a bunch of beading/jewelry making of late. I'm still learning the basic technical skills of it, but the stuff I'm making is pretty. Not sure if I'm going to sell some of it at Pagan Pride next weekend or give it as gifts or just keep it all.

I pretty much blew off both the Pagan holidays and the Jewish ones this weekend, but I did have a lovely weekend visit from lediva. We went to see Across the Universe (which I would highly recommend) and we also went to see the Gotham Girls Roller Derby, which was less confusing in the second half after I got a peek at the write-up of the basic rules. It was still essentially a sporting event in a hot gymnasium, which is not-so-much my thing, but the crowd was interesting and it was certainly cool to see that much intensity being played out that close up. I don't think I'll personally go again, but I can see why people like it.

lediva also ended up getting me set up to use Bloglines instead of the crazy random pile of bookmarks and remembering to check in on stuff that I've been using. Anybody have any favorite, lesser-known blogs I ought to be looking at?

Perfume showed up Friday night, and all the packages are going to go out tomorrow morning. Even though I don't like the chasing people down to fill orders and get paid and worrying I'll be stuck with lots of leftovers thing, I love the actual part where I get to play with all the perfumes and do the decanting and everything.

Wow, this looks much more like a classic LiveJounal post than anything I've written in a while.
