First sentence of the first post of each month of 2004. Possibly not very interesting to anyone else, but to me it's actually not a bad snapshot of the year.

I just deleted the larger part of a long whiny rant about how unfestive this holiday season was for me, and how I felt discouraged and disappointed by it. [livejournal.com profile] lediva convinced me to do the Orkut thing. Sucks: Not being able to sleep at 3 am, when you're still only getting maybe five or six interrupted hours a night. After having convinced myself that [livejournal.com profile] bard_bloom was as able to take care of the baby with the stomach virus as I was, and that I really needed to do something distinctly non-baby oriented and non-suburban, I decided to keep my Saturday night plans. Prompted by several discussions, on LJ and elsewhere, over the last week or so. I never really was much of a fast food type. Just back from a week sharing a vacation house in the Brattleboro, Vermont area with [livejournal.com profile] bard_bloom's parents, brother, sister-in-law, and niece and nephew(ages 10 and 7). I went to a Kerry-Edwards house party on Thursday night or whenever the heck the last day of the DNC was. I'm afraid the [livejournal.com profile] furryparents journal is being locked down, but there are plenty of cute furry baby pictures over at [livejournal.com profile] projectmothra for your making-fun-of-infants pleasure. The baby's asleep, Bard's out, and I'm doing manymany web updates for my projects. I don't get it.[livejournal.com profile] lediva was in town for the last few days, and [livejournal.com profile] bard_bloom was wonderfully flexible enough to take the afternoon off on Thursday to do child care so that the blackcat and I could have a date in the city.

Back to the rest of my friends-petting posts soon!
