I woke up from a dream, most of which I forget now except that it had a soundtrack. The theme song sounded kind of Fleetwood Mac-ish, and the chorus had the lyrics, "We're in this for the long haul/we're in this for a very long time". I think there was a cross country car trip, with me and
lediva and
sythyry and a four-year old Mothra, and this song was playing on the radio. I woke up thinking the dream seemed more in
lediva's style than my own.
I discovered I had a flat tire, on the way out of my driveway this morning. We just had a flat tire in this same car, on the way to Anthrocon a few weeks ago. It's not really that ridiculous for this to happen, as the tires on the Prius are rated for 30K miles, and the car's just hit, you guessed it, 30K miles. But I explicitly asked the dealership to check the tire treads during my last routine service, and they said there was plenty of life in them.
sythyry's doing me the extreme kindness of dealing with my car while I took his and drove in for my usual summer half-day Friday of work, instead of getting his own car inspected which was his original morning plan. I've told him to just go ahead and get the fourth of the original tires replaced, while he's there.
Working today really only has the advantage of bringing in a few hours worth of money, as I don't really have much effective I can do today, anyways.
I got a full-body length squiggly pillow that is supposed to help with back pain (reduce) and tummy support (increase) for sleeping during pregnancy. It does, I think, though it is apparently inspiring dreams with soundtracks.
