Breathe in, breathe out.

Someone just mentioned to me a new oxygen bar opening in the Boston area, and for some reason, I've suddenly become fascinated with this idea. Not because I think it could possibly be good for you, but just because it's such a wonderfully bizarre idea. The units look so medical-fetish, somehow: tubes up the nose, brightly colored vessels in front of you. Yes, apparently the oxygen comes in "flavors". I wonder if people would be disturbed if I showed up to one of these places, which are suppose to have a celebrity-trendy juice bar feel, in a latex nurse outfit, spiked heels, and ripped fishnets.

I've never taken an oxygen hit before, though I used to play around once in a while with oxygen-deprivation highs as a teen, hyperventilation and the like. Has anyone reading been to an oxygen bar? What's it like? And does anyone know if there's any place still doing this in the New York area, or do I need to wait until my next Boston trip?
