She's absolutely brilliant, well-spoken, passionate, and funny. She has the kind of personal energy you can feel halfway down the block when she's feeling good about herself, or when she's pissed enough to want to make a difference out in the world. She sings harmony to old Simon and Garfunkel songs with me in the car. She keeps me vibrant and young and alive. She's a loving and devoted friend, lover, and confidante. She attended my son's birth with me, and held his little hands out of the way when we were learning to nurse. Sometimes, when neither of us are quite expecting it, she works magic.
She's allowed me a very special opportunity (and challenge) in my life -- that of moving from the style of polyamory that was more open marriage/friends with benefits style to the style of having a fully integrated second partner in my life. It's been a wonderful and valuable experience. Not at all what I expected when I took the first steps on this journey with her, but just what came out of her being so perfectly, wonderfully *her*.
Life and time will keep changing us both, and who knows where we'll be in the faraway future of Someday, but I do know one thing: one way or another, I'm keeping that girl in my world. Love you,
